Ponder This: Cyber Popularity + EMP = Instant Isolation, Your World Shatters
TLB Editors Note: Ponder This is a new series of short knowledge based commentary articles meant to spark curiosity, conversation and at least some level of … action (or at a minimum … reaction) to ongoing or possible/probable near term scenarios facing We The People.

America (and indeed a majority of the world) in a large part is now a society tethered together by means of electronic devices. Cellphones, tablets, laptops, etc… We interface with “friends” we have never touched, hugged, or stared deeply into their eyes … from across this huge nation and indeed this ever shrinking globe.
You can’t walk down the street without seeing a huge number of people engaging at least one of these devices. A crowd used to be alive and loud with many intermingled voices echoing across the concrete canyons, but today there is barely a murmur of voice drowned out by the louder sound of footsteps as they progress almost trance-like to their destinations, engrossed in their electronic life.
“Friend” has taken on an entirely new meaning, family intercommunication has ebbed to an alarming low, and even lovers must share their attention with their electronic loves (addictions).
Now ask yourself … What would happen if all of a sudden, say via an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack, all the lights went out, all the devices … phones, tablets, computers, etc.., suddenly died never to be usable again, and all of your cyber-friends immediately ceased to exist? This would result in social fragmentation and isolation beyond what most can possibly conceive in this modern electronic society … and expose all those so dependent on their electronic “friends”, the uber-vulnerable, to those who wish to step into this vacuum … and control.
Questions you need to ask … and answer …
- Are you aware of what makes your physical community special?
- Do you know your neighbors strengths and weaknesses?
- Who can you depend on in an emergency for medical care,
- Who can help with sustenance,
- How will you protect yourself or your family,
- Or will you inevitably shut yourself in and cower down in fear?
Will you survive the shocking transition from thousands of adoring and eager to talk friends both nationally and globally … to physical and mental isolation … ???
Now suppose this lasts, not for hours as in a usual power outage, or days, or even weeks … but months, and most likely years, or … depending on whether the sitting government survives the shock and ensuing chaos or not … indefinitely … ???
Yea think about this because nothing here is even a stretch of the imagination or a misrepresentation of the facts. This is technically doable today with current technology and existing weapons. So once you have pondered this scenario, then discuss it with all your “friends” because this is a very real possibility in today’s ever increasingly hostile world.
Even as you read this both China and Russia are building EMP specific weapons, for use against … guess who, and with catastrophic consequences … Especially for those who’s lives and daily actions literally depend on cyber attention, recognition, validation, encouragement, or even … cyber love … but have very little critical connection with the physical world unfolding right in front of their faces.
- Get out and discover your neighborhood
- Meet and greet those in your community
- Find out what you can do to help each other in a crisis
- Learn to once again function as a community
- There may soon come a day when all this is critical!
Will you be prepared … ???

About the Author: Roger Landry (TLB) spent about three decades of his adult life either in, or working for the military, with about two decades working directly for the Military Industrial Complex facilitating DOD contracts. His awakening to Political, Economic, and Health realities was less than seven short years ago. Since that time he has founded The Liberty Beacon Project (TLB) consisting of a half dozen proprietary global websites, media projects such as TLBTV, and partner websites across the planet. He contributes regularly to multiple forums both in and outside of TLB Project. Most of Roger’s articles can be found on the TLB flagship website TheLibertyBeacon.com
The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
