This Bud’s for you, and we don’t mean Beer

by TLB Staff

Thousands of people that read this will know instantly we are referring to a “Bud” as in the cannabis plant. Some numbers of readers relate to the Bud in a Cheech and Chong “Oh wow man, that’s some kick ass smoke” way, while another group thank GOD for giving us earthly beings  a “natural” remedy to a myriad of health problems.

To the “Health Doubters”

There is a small hard core group of citizens that are of the opinion that anyone who uses Cannabis or any of the products produced from it, are just doing it for a high and that medicinal purposes are a myth. We ask of  these folks the following: If Cannabis and related oils and health products don’t work, why is Big Pharma trying to duplicate nature in a test tube? If they could they would stand to make untold amounts of money.

Good for us, bad for them. Every time Big Pharma tries to emulate Mother Nature, they find she is equipped with “codes of creation” they cannot hack.

What Others Say

Each time TLB publishes a medical report on Cannabis or an article about how it has benefited and/or sparked a healing in one of our fellow beings, we receive messages of appreciation for helping to spread the truth. Everyone that TLB staff has encountered from the Cannabis Industry is on a Mission to Heal… not just treat the symptom as is the Creed of Big Pharma and it’s Medical fellow travelers.

Seriously

There is still the Comedic Templet in place that is a temptation to anyone writing or talking about Cannabis to use in getting their message across. We think it is time to put that Templet to rest and put the emphasis on what a Miracle that emerald green plant is in attacking very serious health issues.
Making “lite” of this subject, but with good hearts is Tyler Durden and Martha Stewart in the article below. [Videos]………  (TLB)

Martha Stewart Gets In On The Weed Game At 77

by Tyler Durden

Stewart co-hosts a cooking show with rapper and giant pothead Snoop Dogg, and knows how to roll a joint.

Martha Stewart is teaming up with the world’s largest cannabis company, Canopy Growth Corp. in an advisory role to help develop a “broad new line” of products for both people and animals.

“I am looking forward to working with the Canopy Growth team,” said the 77-year-old Stewart in a Thursday statement reported by the Los Angeles Times. “I’m especially looking forward to collaborating on developing products that can help people and their treasured animal companions.”

Via the LA Times:

Canopy, based in Smiths Falls, Canada, is conducting several clinical trials exploring how cannabis compounds can improve human and animal health, including research into the effectiveness of CBD, a non-intoxicating compound, to treat anxiety in animals. Cannabidiol, its formal name, has soared in popularity and is thought by its proponents to help with everything from stress to inflammation and insomnia.

“It’s really about duration and quality of life for animals that respond well to CBD,” said Canopy CEO Bruce Linton in an interview – adding that hemp is an easy to digest protein which can be utilized in pet food.

Canopy announced in January that it will spend upwards of $150 million to build a hemp facility in New York State – which will be its first US-based production plant. Eventually Linton hopes to expand to other states following the passage of the U.S. farm bill in December which legalized CBD derived from hemp under certain circumstances.

And, as we’re sure Martha Stewart would agree, that’s a good thing…

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
