I’ve lost track now how many times I’ve said “this will be an ‘odd’ or ‘different’ kind of piece” LOL. By now, you should expect “odd” from me at times others doing the predictable…

First, hoping you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving – however it is that you define what would make that Holiday “wonderful” for you!! Also hoping that you have a Blessed Christmas Holiday Season this and every year.

So, while this is generally a time for Family, Friends, Celebration, however many are very concerned that these times are getting darker and darker and “end-times” near. We deal in politics, so I will relate this to such, but first the diversion into what some think could be around the corner (to relate to Political ramifications). I am NOT taking a position of the concept here, just sharing; and leave all with the food-for-thought contemplation of WHAT-IF it indeed happens sometime soon and the political, economic, social, implications and effects to/on this planet…

From my discussion (partial transcription) with Pastor Jeff Jones on some Christian beliefs that “The Rapture” is coming (while other Christian sects exclude such from teachings)… What? Surprised? When do I do the normal and expected things?!?! LOL…

Imagine it being rush hour on maybe a Friday night and you’re driving by Metro Airport and all of a sudden. Semi-truck drivers start vanishing. Airplane pilots start vanishing and Cab drivers and high-load drivers. All over the World is going on and could you imagine the mayhem that would follow an event like that. Even though the word “Rapture” doesn’t exist in a Bible in a, I guess an English version of the Bible. It is the Greek word Harpazo/Raptale does exist and in Harpazo/Raptale was translated ‘caught up.’

It will be “caught up” to meet the Lord in the air. And so I try to avoid theologies and all that a lot of people have a lot of different understandings of it, but it’s not a matter so much of if and when and how but just says we’re going to be caught up, right? So there’s other things I can take people to but could you imagine an event like that taking place and all of a sudden planes crashing, semi-trucks, bus drivers with kids and everything, just I mean the the outfall of something like that would be horrendous and then that’s kind of the preface for what you’re about to experience.

Again, I am NOT taking a position of the concept here, just sharing, as there are still countless things on this planet we have still yet to understand (we still have not defined what all still goes on in the Bermuda, Dragon’s (Asia), or even Lake-Michigan, triangles). WHAT-IF it indeed happens sometime soon and the political, economic, social, implications and effects to/on this planet?

Please note, that was NOT the sole focus of our discussion, but was part of the road traveled. And, again, you expect me to cover the normal/obvious this article when I rarely do others expected for a time of year? For much more of the overall discussion with Pastor Jones, see the Video above.

I’ve discussed before how every 4th Of July I rewatch An American Carol movie and its relation to that Holiday; which I discuss in both Remembering Our Freedoms and Movies and Politics pieces. Of course, every Christmas season we get several films replayed and indeed I saw Die Hard again at my local Theater as well as their special showings of It’s A Wonderful Life. But I bring up IAWL again here, as (again, TLB about politics) I present IAWL discussion like no other before…

The Politics of Potterville

The Politics of Potterville [very brief/partial re-publication from: TLB “The Politics of Potterville” article]

“It’s A Wonderful Life” (IAWL) has been playing on some channel or another 24×7. I cannot imagine there is anyone, but suppose there must be some folks out there haven’t seen it and refuse to watch it (they get tired of hearing about it); so we won’t go into many Spoilers (if someone hasn’t seen it, really doubt it possible they don’t know what it is about and what goes on in the film). But here we will discuss “The Politics of Potterville” something I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone else go into, to fit The Liberty Beacon main “politics” focus.

#1: Tyrant Potter wants total and complete control of the Town if only he could have a Monopoly by destroying his FREE MARKETS cross-town competition (as shown by Clarence to George).

#2: COMMUNISM – yep, that’s right, however — micro versus macro matters!

“Credit Unions” and many small/local Banks operating on the principle of “Community” and as George points out “You’re money is in so-and-so’s House” and the like. People VOLUNTARILY joining together as a “collective, by choice, group” of folks for THEIR OWN/INDIVIDUAL BEST INTERESTS (not government edicts, the original “It Takes A Village” intent not Hillary’s warped Fascist “Wards of the State” sense) – versus the absolute and abject failing of Communism on the macro/larger “political” scale.

#3: The “Suicide-prevention” message and “one does not always recognize” the fallout, politically and of course effects upon others’ lives in general, of the movie.

Lastly, the whole “Happy Holidays” vs “Merry Christmas” situation as I know some get “upset” over such, but I do not and here is why… Things on this planet do not revolve around me and mine. I do NOT expect someone to know my political or Religious viewpoints nor should they really make assumptions (now, obviously, if I’m wearing a Merry Christmas sweater, they know, but still then) let us not forget that our Jewish friends are also out Celebrating their Holiday and that the New Year Celebration Holiday around the corner – therefore we should NOT get upset at the all-encompassing “Happy Holidays” salutation.

As for that “other” thing far too many of my fellow Christians find upsetting… The whole Xristos-mass (X-mas) thing… And even for non-Christians, I present the following video, so in Paul Harvey style you too will know “The Rest Of The Story.”
