More than two-dozen students at Columbia University walked out of a lecture delivered by Hillary Clinton in protest at the school’s response to the public naming-and-shaming of students who blamed Israel for Hamas‘s October 7 attack.

Former Secretary of State Clinton was delivering a two-hour lecture on women’s involvement in peace processes alongside Karen Yarhi-Milo, the Ivy League’s dean of the school of International and Public Affairs, when the walkout occurred.

Some 300 students were in attendance at the lecture when, not even halfway through, about 30 students stood up, gathered their belongings, and walked to the lobby of the building where they met with several dozen additional protestors.

The demonstrators sat quietly in the common area of the International Affairs Building protesting what they perceive to be the school’s role in publicly shaming students whose photographs appeared last week on a so-called ‘doxxing truck’ making its way around campus.

The truck, sponsored by a group called Accuracy in Media, has shown on a panel screen on its side the faces and names of students beneath the words ‘Columbia’s Leading Antisemites.’

The Accuracy in Media 'doxxing truck' has paid a visit to Columbia to highlight the names and faces of students who signed a letter blaming Israel for the October 7 terror attack

The students identified on the truck are reportedly part of organizations that signed a statement in the wake of the October 7 massacre in Israel stating that ‘the weight of responsibility for the war and casualties undeniably lies with the Israeli extremist government and other Western governments, including the U.S. government, which fund and staunchly support Israeli aggression, apartheid and settler-colonization.’

Students have since complained that the pictures shown on the truck were taken from a ‘private and secure’ online platform for those attending the School of International and Public Affairs.

The students have demanded ‘immediate legal support for affected students’ and a ‘commitment to student safety, well being and privacy.’

After Clinton’s lecture ended, demonstrators remained quiet in anticipation of the former secretary of state and the dean passing through the lobby. But that did not happen.

It was later reported that Yarhi-Milo and Clinton had exited the building through a side door.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
