How It Was, and Never Again?

How It Was, and Never Again?

Commentary by TLB Staff Writer: Lucille Femine

I yearn for my childhood when people visited to visit, to get a recipe that they made and come back to share a cake. And share some naughty gossip that somehow made your day. You were permitted to misbehave. Allowed into the inner sanctum of Rosie’s world. Oh joy! It was lush with laughs and tears, shattered hopes and sighs you wrote your first stories about.

I’d sit by my mother and listen to them, my religious education I didn’t get in Catholic School and carry to this day. I forgot the nuns except the sting on my hands from the two rulers they used for discipline. I learned that God’s houses were made for his cruelty. You will better get to heaven if you were “cleansed”.

But Rosie’s face and voice I will never forget. Childhood is a recording with permanent ink. You can toss it for sure but worth a review now and then to see who you are. Are you better now?

Maybe in our next lives there will still be backyard picnics complete with squirrels and flies. Or will they be unbred for our “safety”?

Only you can paint that picture.

Are you “zooming” through life now, holding up a cup of coffee on the video to your “visitors”? Is this convenience enriching your life or feeding your loneliness?

You will deny this, thinking I’m an old woman holding up progress. In your yoga class you learned about being in present time and hope I make it to a good nursing home where they don’t feed me rats stew. I’d thank them for that; rats don’t have much protein.

This is a throw away world. When I was a kid paper bags were used to protect textbooks, to line kitchen cabinets, to carry your lunch to school, to make Halloween hats, to blow up and explode. But no, use plastic to coat and smother the environment. But your house will be uncluttered!

For your spiritual life you watch videos on the corruption of religions and how they are only meant to enslave. You are relieved to be so enlightened and free.

God? Product of delusion and fear. No backbone to face life and all its concrete. That solid reality is holy. Are those perverted priests enhancing you spiritually? And the Word all lies? Yes, life is meant to be updated and revised through the tough love of corporate and media guidance. Become a modern guru for freedom of home online business and vacations to the temples on the Hawaii beaches.

So you see, basic needs are the same with more help now to fulfill them. Let’s be compassionate. People are no longer equipped to make their own meals or put up with bosses, to know right from wrong. God flunked out on that. Maybe he’s hoping for a comeback on Facebook.

The truth is millions now are finding God again in their various churches, in their gardens, in their child’s eyes.

So has the world changed? More like going through growing pains, the way out of enslavement.

Divine consciousness is always there with soothing ointment.

We will make it but never alone. Visit your neighbor whose name you never learned or forgot. The one with arthritis. Mow her lawn.

She will become your grandmother. How much more religion do you need? But if you need more it is in every cell and atom in the universe. Go fishing.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
