I can only start this Episode by thanking everyone involved in ShakeAndWake Radio, and also offer a Prayer or two for them down Florida way…
And since the network owner is interested in Indian Teachings, I thought I would oblige today with a special story about my Sister and her asking me to help someone with their grief, because of their son dying so suddenly (named Luca after me, because we are neighbors) and I tell that story first.
From there, I need to address Children and how we are treating them in our daily lives… Back in Indian country, not even 100 years ago, they were SACRED… They were the hope of the future and were respected, loved and cherished for that reason, among others, obviously. But where did that go?
RANDY’s MASK is quite a shock to me still, and I need to share this little story, one HUGE marker of how the young ‘adapt’ to the life we are making for them.
Then, off to one of my favorite Teachings in Life, CHAPTERS OF MY LIFE, although the meaning here is a bit ‘twisted’ because I share some horror stories of my childhood, and make the point.
The concept of C A R E seems to be disappearing very quickly, and what happens, indifference and apathy take its place in this world…
And I offer solutions to this, in one of my most important shows to date, including ‘enabling healing and love’…
In my MUSIC SEGMENT, I laugh when I think of this ~ and I will not blow the surprise here, but you HAVE to hear this, a once-in-a-lifetime event. We will be having one of these more and more often, as music ‘is’ my life in a huge way.
And as we near the end of the Episode, I feel it appropriate to share THE SACRED TEXTS, for those who know how to appreciate them, forgotten, yes, but not LOST, they are at the heart of Matriarchy and Love and Community and RESPONSIBILITY, the way it always was and always should be, but I explain that Patriarchy has taken its place BECAUSE WE ARE ALLOWING IT…
The Sacred Texts are Truths from a long time ago that Tribes like the Hopi and others actually ‘hid’ from the public, from Humanity, knowing that ‘they were not ready to receive them yet’, the same mindset that I share for this entire segment.
But now, the Elders and the Matriarchs have decided that we NEED to hear them, whether we are ready or not. Quite an alarm for immediacy!
LEARN 2 UNLEARN needs to address these things and so much more, the ‘lost’ or ‘forgotten’ truths of times past, the Ones that made the world such a beautiful place, and for so long… in Balance with the world around us. And it will prevail.
LIFE will prevail with or without ‘humans’. It is really our choice now.
