Quotations (Part One)

Quotations (Part One)

By TLB Contributing Author: Joseph M. Lenard

If you’ve read me here (or over on BeforeItsNews, or heard several of my ChristiTutionalist TM Politics podcast shows) for any period of time you have without a doubt seen/heard an occasional article/blog/show/vlog of mine that starts with “this is going to be a bit of an ‘odd’ piece.” Well, I am about to take that to whole new levels, this one is about to get REALLY WEIRD. I want to share some “points” on the “issues of our days” but rather than by my own words instead via use of “Quotations” that warned about the “now” we live in or “relate” to our need for action to #ROAR – #RestoreOurAmericanRepublic. I had written a piece over on BeforeItsNews titled “” where I shared some Quotations loosely put together for consideration for my “ChristiTutionalist TM Politics 2” book that will drop sometime in June of 2024. So, thought I’d share that chapter (currently slated to be “chapter 2”) as it stands to date (Rough-Draft)… No need for much commentary, though a few Quotes have some I’ve added, for most part the Quotes themselves are the commentary on today’s times.

Yes, there are way too many people who have said some really great comments to quote here. I wanted to briefly share just a few that relate to ChristiTutionalist TM Politics in some form or another here – some to provoke thought while others to hopefully inspire or motivate to action as this book is both intended to do. If you’d read the original CTP book you’ve seen some of these, others not mentioned in CTP-1 also below. Some quotes will be very familiar while others here from off the beaten path, that are equally important but many people have not heard – or certainly less quoted.

Of course, one could write an entire book thousands of pages long – or even an entire encyclopedia of books all hundreds/thousands of pages in themselves – packed just with quotes that relate to one another to make points, but I’ll leave that book, or that set, for someone else to produce. For now, sharing these several, in-my-opinion, very important quotes bolstering points previously made in ChristiTutionalist TM Politics (the original) book and preview/foreshadow where we’re going in this edition titled: ChristiTutionalist TM Politics 2.

First and foremost, as this is a book mainly, but not exclusively, for Christians, and about the point that WE MUST ACT and not just “expect” things to be as we wish them — “Ye shall be known by your fruits [not your empty rhetoric]!” – GOD [Fruits/deeds/RESULTS – your actions, what you actually reaped from what you sowed… not coulda, woulda, shoulda… not your ‘but my intentions were (or I hoped for) good’ cop-out… Not just “I Prayed” and left it all to/for God, as we were given Free Will and “Commandments” (not on just how to behave, but calls to act) to protect, preserve, be productive, for and in Christs’ name. Etc.…]

“Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” – Ronald Reagan

But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

••••

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom – go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!” – Samuel Adams

••••

••••

“Those who are willing to trade Freedom for Security, deserve neither.” also Ben

••••

“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal Rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the Rights of the individual.” – Thomas Jefferson

••••

The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly.” – Robert Anton Wilson [Self-justification for IDLENESS]

••••

If you think free speech is dangerous it’s because you’re afraid of having your lies challenged.” – Ian Miles Cheong

One of the most cowardly things ordinary people do is to shut their eyes to facts!” – C. S. Lewis

••••

There is only one reason to not support Voter-ID, when all States allow for obtaining a free identification option, and that is solely because you want to allow fraud in Elections!” – everyone that loves #RuleOfLaw

••••

At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child – miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats.” – P. J. O’Rourke

••••

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” – Albert Einstein

••••

Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” – Dylan Thomas  [I dare add – Rage against the dying of our Free U. S. Republic that has lifted more people than any governance in the history of this Planet.]

••••

A fool contributes nothing worth hearing and takes offense at everything!” – also Aristotle [clearly, he foresaw today’s American Left]

••••

[Tyrannical] Governments don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. That is against their interests. They want obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept it.” – George Carlin

••••

It’s not so much staying alive, it’s staying human that’s important. What counts is that we don’t betray each other.” – George Orwell

••••

There is nothing that politicians like better than handing out benefits to be paid for by someone else.” – Thomas Sowell

••••

Within a few years, though, I learned that free markets would do more to alleviate poverty [capital investment, giving people manner to earn their way] than government programs. There’s an old saying that suggests anyone who is not a socialist when they are 20 has no heart, and anyone who is still a socialist when they are 30 has no mind. There is a lot of wisdom in that. As human beings, our emotions attain vigor before our intellect. The latter takes time to develop.” – Bono (U2)  Plus, of course, we all know the ‘teach a man to fish give him dignity and self-sufficiency versus give him fish make him a lazy and dependent Democrat Voter’ phrase!

“Anything that requires the labor or property of other people is not a basic human right. That includes education, healthcare, food, internet access, housing, or anything else that involves an investment of capital and labor. To demand free goods and services from people who sacrifice time and capital to produce them is to demand is to demand that those people become your slaves. You don’t have a right to enslave people for food or education or healthcare any more than plantation owners had a right to enslave people to pick cotton.” – Jared Howe

••••

“The law perverted! And the police powers of the state perverted along with it! The law, I say, not only turned from its proper purpose but made to follow an entirely contrary purpose! The law become the weapon of every kind of greed! Instead of checking crime, the law itself guilty of the evils it is supposed to punish!” – Frederic Bastiat [think Antifa and BlackLyingMarxists of late mostly, not entirely, many of their criminal acts unprosecuted while Rittenhouse who defended himself against Arsonists and Assaulters was persecuted]

••••

Given the whole Claudine Gay (and others) caught in acts of plagiarism at Harvard fiasco proper attribution is finally and rightly becoming a “thing” again… Therefore, afraid I must add the following disclaimer: All “Quotes” here-in this manuscript attributed (citations) to proper accreditation/citation source as “best to research ability” allowed. Obviously, some “Quotes” are repeated (or later paraphrased and take on own new Life) by others and sometimes the original source “lost” in the process – if that the case, my apologies if any second-hand verbiage shared without ability (by my best efforts) to track down any and all proper original sources!

… To be concluded (next week)!

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
